Another great wedding at Parklands, Quendon Hall! I love this venue, based just outside Saffron Walden in Essex, Quendon Hall is just 5 minutes away from the studio. The main house stands at the head of the deer park, an amazing backdrop for perfect wedding photos.
It was another hot one! But the staff at Quendon Hall had the fans in position, keeping the girls cool as they got on with hair and makeup duties. A nice bright room made for some great prep photos, and enough room to work around a friend Jon, who was looking after the videography. The personalised bride/bridesmaid gowns made for some quirky photos, and the girls pre-organised music playlist kept the mood lively!
A magician was at hand to keep the grooms nerves in check, whilst the last few guests were seated. I managed to capture one of my favorite wedding photos as Sam was anticipating the entrance of his bride, a real ‘caption contender’! He wasn’t left waiting for long, Jaime and her Dad made their entrance, and a faultless ceremony proceeded. Although I’m generally allowed to take photos throughout a ceremony, I pick and choose my moments, as to capture the best photos without distracting the bride and groom.
It was drinks on the terrace, which gave me a good opportunity to grab shots of the guests enjoying the sun. A quick lap of the grounds with the bride and groom, the usual group shots, and it was soon time for the wedding breakfast. My opportunity to switch memory cards and catch my breath!
The speeches delivered their fair share of giggles and tears, only to be followed by a lively evening, with some equally lively dance moves! A great days wedding photography, spent with great family and friends, many thanks to Jaime and Sam for asking me to be their wedding photographer.
