Fiona and James chose Rectory Farm as their wedding venue. This is a fantastic place to hold a wedding reception, great wedding photo opportunities, and is a great location being just 2 miles from Cambridge, in nearby Milton.
The preparation for the day began at the farm allowing great wedding photos of both the bride and groom getting ready. The girls focusing on hair and make-up whilst the gents took a more relaxed approach and wrote their speeches. The ceremony took place at Holy Trinity Church in Hildersham, Cambridge which has an amazing painted ceiling! The church grounds were lovely giving more opportunities for photos of the now married couple.
The guests then climbed aboard the buses which offered transport to and from the church and Rectory Farm. Meanwhile the newlywed couple were whisked off in a friends Jaguar to all meet up at the wedding reception.
Before everyone sat down for the wedding breakfast I took Fiona and James out for some wedding photos around the grounds, taking advantage of the giant swing for something a little different. As a wedding photographer it is always nice to be able to create something different and memorable for the couple, particularly on their big day.
The guests then enjoyed great food, speeches and of course music in the marquee which was beautifully decorated. This was followed by the cutting of the cake and the all important first dance.
I can highly recommend Rectory Farm if you are looking for a wedding venue based near Cambridge.
